When Parry Sound came together, by staying apart…
The idea was simple, receive a single updated family portrait, show your support for the Stay Home Movement, and help feed local families through a small donation to Harvest Share, our local food bank. A portion of the funds also went to our amazing photographer Amy Vincent Photography who volunteered to help with this project. Keeping local businesses alive and well during difficult times is so important too!
By sharing these photos we hope to encourage other community members to stay safe and stay home while raising money to help feed those in need in our community.
When all is said and done, years from now participants won’t be looking back on any of the hardships of this time, instead they will have a photo of their family, happily and safely together. Hopefully with many happy memories of this time behind the photo.
Here are the faces of the Parry Sound and surrounding communities who put the health and safety of our community first by choosing to shelf isolate to help ‘flatten the curve’.
At the end of this project we were able to come together and photograph 104 families and raise $2000 for Parry Sound Harvest Share. Thank you!
